We had a special guest at Tahzoo this week – Dominique LeBlond, VP Product Management for SDL, join us in a day-long workshop. We learned more about SDL’s roadmap, discussed best practices for more advanced implementations of segmentation and targeting practices, and ended the day with a strategic partnership discussion.
A very hot topic these days is the ability for CMS tools to provide personalization functionality. Frankly, it is often the reason why the CMS solution is purchased and often the last bit of functionality to be configured. Tahzoo started working with SDL’s personalization solution, shortly after SDL acquired Fredhopper, the European based ecommerce company that brought the IP behind SDL’s solution.
SDL Web offers a unique combination of a rules engine coupled with machine learning. It enables the selection and publication of differentiated content to unique audiences. This personalization includes contextualization of user behavior and user triggers, such as search terms, referring sites, and previous visits. Having designed and deployed more personalization implementations in North America than any other SDL partner, it’s no doubt why Tahzoo was chosen as SDL’s first global partner of the year.
So what came out of today’s workshop with Dominique? We were really excited to hear about the continued evolution of what previously were separate products capabilities covering content management, customer analytics, campaign management, rich media and social marketing into a unified stack. From a single user interface to improved workflows, it’s clear that the SDL Customer Experience Cloud (CXC) is a leader in the new highly competitive world of enterprise marketing clouds.
We shared with Dominique our latest experiences, learnings and best practices with some of our leading clients like Wells Fargo, Nasdaq, American Express, and Transamerica. It was wonderful to have an open peer exchange with someone who knows more about SDL technology than anyone else (except maybe some of our solution architects.
As a part of our complete review of all the major marketing cloud offerings including SDL, IBM, Adobe, SAP and Salesforce.com, we will be going into the details of how our clients are using the SDL Customer Experience Cloud (CXC) to deliver dynamic, contextual digital experiences, locally and globally. In the meantime, thanks Dominique for spending the day with us. Your commitment to our partnership is appreciated and we look forward to continuing the great work we’re doing together.
